Друг Сенеки: Что делать, когда терзает FOMO?
Сенека: вкратце объясняет теорию неврозов, вкратце осуждает неправильные к ним подходы, цитирует местного пушкина насчёт охоты к перемене мест (с осуждением) и сообщает что надо заняться общественно полезным делом, и FOMO как рукой снимет

Спартак с Дугласом-старшим

прекрасен. Бог с ними со Спартаком и Дугласом, но какие там римляне в исполнении Лоренса Оливье (аристократичный до отвращения Красс) и Питера Устинова (хитрожопый ланиста). И ещо Чарльз Лотон, абсолютно незабываемо харизматичный в роли собирательного Гракха (персонаж или просто выдуманный или сильно анахроничный, но божимой до чего же он хорош)
И сцена финальной битвы, ыыы. Идите в жопу с вашим CGI, он никогда не сравнится с натуральной картиной целого легиона маневрирующего на местности))) (пофиг что на самом деле легионов было шесть, плюс я не уверена что даже если б они влезли в бюджет, он бы влезли в кадр)))

обычно русская приставка до- прекрасно передаётся с помощью нехитрой конструкции finish + gerund, типа, дочитать - finish reading, досмотреть - finish watching, или вообще просто finish + noun, типа, finish your broccoli (доедай капусту, сволочь)))
но вот когда она не про завершение, а про продолжение банкета, тут случаются неожиданности) например, донашивать (шмотки/ботинки за кем-то) - wear someone's hand-me-downs

Рабочее)

(хотя бы временно)) решила одну свою first world problem, а именно что делать с Advanced и Proficiency студентами, которые всё превзошли, но за каким-то хреном хотят заниматься дальше))
Даешь чату ГПТ задание нарыть common idioms сгруппированных по какой-нибудь теме (лучше дать два-три примера), выбираешь то что действительно common, разбиваешь на таблицы с дефинициями, потом тасуешь это дело, чтоб студент помучился получился matching exercise, потом чат пишет gap-fill (по предложению на каждую идиому), потом мы рисуем какую-нибудь красивую картинку, потом я пишу триггерные вопросы для обсуждения плюс на предлоги повставлять)
И вот у нас и вокабуляр ввёлся и дважды в разных форматах попрактиковался, и разговорная практика в свободном формате, и хоба 20-30 минут как с куста))
За ГПТ конечно надо следить, ибо он глючит, халтурит и врёт прям как человек) Но всё равно с ним быстрее, да)
