допересматриваю

Одиннадцатого. Зашли практически только те (немногие) серии где мыло про Пондов и Ривер либо отсутствует, либо сведено до минимума. Не, я по-честному попыталась посмотреть первый сезон подряд (уж больно Смит хорош в первой серии), но сломалась на серии про Dream Lord'a.

Беременная баба вмазывается на грузовике в стену потому что "без него мне не жыть", ВТФ, Моффат, ты охуел вообще? И Доктор, страдающий комплексами как у парнишки лет в 12 и способный только на унылый dream sequence про зловещих старичков? ВТФ-2

В очередной раз порадовали отсылки к Третьему (Доктор тырит новый прикид не где-нибудь а в больничке, и Рори даже несёт за ним знакомый бархатный пиджачок, Доктор поёт в душе Donna e Mobile) и офигенной красоты саундтрек.

Щас досмотрю финальную серию и спешэлы. Потом наверное The Movie и пару серий из Двенадцатого, а там можно и на Третьего переключацца

до Одиннадцатого Доктора, выборочно пересматриваю. Unsurprisingly, серия про Тардис, написанная Гейманом, стала ещё более прекрасна.

а кто во дни сомнений и прочих тягостных раздумий пересматривает ДоктораКто, тот я)) В планах пересмотреть Девятого (done), Десятого (in progress) и оч. выборочно Одиннадцатого (серию про Гитлера однозначно и возможно про жильца) и выборочно Двенадцатого (Heaven Sent, ну и всё наверное). Потом переключусь на олдскул, соскучилась по Третьему)
В процессе замечаю интересные детали которых не замечала раньше)) К примеру Хэрриэт Джонс почему-то выступает по телевизору на фоне портретов Ричарда Третьего и Генриха Восьмого, это вапще на что намёк))

More was engaged in a particularly difficult and subtle testing of human, as opposed to divine, law, with all the resources of his legal experience being deployed to justify his beleaguered position. His contemporaries believed that he was acting obsessively or irrationally, but he believed himself to be acting legally—in the fullest possible meaning of that term. It has often been surmised that the trial of More represents the defeat of the individual conscience by the forces of the emerging nation-state, but that is profoundly to misunderstand his position. Conscience was not for More simply or necessarily an individual matter; as Lord Chancellor he had been charged with the application of conscience to law, but upon general and traditional principles. At his trial he was affirming the primacy of law itself, as it had always been understood. He asserted the laws of God and of reason, as they had been inherited, and he simply did not believe that the English parliament could repeal the ordinances of a thousand years. It is significant that he was found to be guilty because of that conversation with Rich in which he ‘put the case’. He was in that sense condemned for acting like a lawyer and, at the trial itself, he was also convicted for maintaining traditional law. He embodied law all his life, and he died for it.

Альпачиновского Looking for Richard. Задумка ну наверное амбициозная, исполнение вопщем ну такое, но местами оно прекрасно))

Многочисленные эксперты пытаются объяснить Аль Пачино что такое пятистопный ямб:

Далее. Аль Пачино, Шекcпир, английский нэйминг и логика))

Объясняльщик: Clarence. George, Duke of Clarence. His first name is really George.

вопщем-то логично, чо))) Но теряется Ричардова проговорка по Фрейду, у него самого имя начинается с G, поскольку он Duke of Gloucester)))

Досмотрела

"Пустую корону", Хиддлстон это просто идеальный кастинг для Генриха V. Джереми Айронс со своим лицом про Внутренний Конфликт и Уныние тоже оч хорош в качестве папаши Генриха IV, но Хиддлс - само совершенство.

Единственная претензия к кастингу - в Генрихах Четвертом и Пятом сквозных персонажей играют одни и те же актёры, а вот в Ричарде Втором и Генрихе Четвертом собственно Генриха играют два разных актера, и я с одной стороны понимаю почему (на роль умученного ответственностью венценосца Айронс идеально годится, а вот на роль молодого внезапного узурпатора - не очень). Но с другой стороны, бубубу.

Кстате, Шекспир и его poetic lisense, бубубу. Генри Перси, сын маминой подруги, которого унылый Айронс папаша Генрих ставит в укор беспутному сынуле, и такой типа, небось этих двоих в колыбели подменили -- в реальности был на двадцать лет старше принца Хэла

Думаю отвлечься от английского средневековья и посмотреть свеженький американский Manhunt. Не знаю чо уж смогли выжать из истории поимки Джона Уилкса Бута, но с другой стороны, любимый период, фседела)

продолжаю

смотреть "Пустую корону" задом наперёд, первую часть. Вторая была хороша, но первая so far (первая серия)- это вообще огнище. Совершенно понятно за что Уишоу дали Бафту, потому что от его Ричарда Второго невозможно оторваться. Плюс визуально картина божественно, даже как-то излишне хороша. Визуал по красивости и масштабу напомнил всякую классику вроде эпического Бекета (64 год, с О'Тулом и Бёртоном).

Параллельно четаю Foundation Акройда, про соответствующий исторический период, Акройд как всегда прекрасен)) Вот про того же самого Ричарда:

One chronicler, known only as ‘the monk of Evesham’, described him as being extravagant in dress and imperious in temper; he was frightened of war and preferred to spend the night ‘carousing with friends’ and indulging himself in ‘unmentionable’ ways.
